Wake Up is an active global community of young mindfulness practitioners, aged 18 – 35, inspired by the teachings of Zen Master and peace activist Thich Nhat Hanh.  We come together to practice mindfulness in order to take care of ourselves, nourish happiness, and contribute to building a healthier and more compassionate society. We are very happy to inform that at the beginning of  2025 we are going to organize an International Wake Up retreat for young friends, aged 18-40, to come and join our practices. We are aware that in our modern society nowadays people have to confront with a number of issues and difficulties in their daily lives. However, they do not know how to handle their emotions or painful feelings. People have a tendency to run away or cover up their suffering with consumptions or harmful entertainments. Therefore, the theme of this retreat is ‘Being Peace Amid Suffering’. We will have a chance to observe ourselves, learn and contemplate the way to deal with our suffering in order to re-establish happiness and peace for ourselves and for our society.
